Re-branding
Is that the proper way to say that ?
Anyway the unimaginable has happened, I’ve left warhammer and am playing world of warcraft. I Loved warhammer but I was the only one of my friends who was still playing. Its lonely at the top <wink>
So instead of making this another wow blog. I’m gonna make it a all round gamers blog from a parenting/wise ass perspective. I’ll try to balance kids, gaming and other stuff now, all right here 
Hopefully on a regular basis.
So a quick note on my time in wow, I played from 1-60 in 2 1/2 days game time, I had the recruit a friend bonus. That was about 2 and 1/2 weeks real time. It felt like it did the first time I played it 4 years ago just easier, way easier. I’m not sure if it was the friends helping, or the way blizzard runs the vanilla wow levels but what a breeze. Now i’m on to 63 and its neat I’m enjoying it.

I feel so dirty
So I did a keep take today, with a full warband. There was me, (31 slayer) and 23 lvl 40’s. Guess who got #1 on the contribution list, that;s right me !? Then I rolled well and got me a pretty gold bag, contained the anhilator chest piece. I seriously don’t know how I did this, all did was spam the door, and then did 1 DOT on the final boss. Seriously 99% of the time i was NOT moving in an attempt not to aggro anything. At least I was was graceful about winning. When I saw i was #1 i immediately said “WTF how did I get # 1″ ? Then I logged off because I heard mumblings about me passing on the gold bag. Ya not likely.
This is especially funny for me because I did 7 keep takes with my rune priest yesterday, and didn’t get a decent or contribution the whole time.

I’m back
Well now that the swine flu has come and gone through my household like a cool breeze ? Its back to blogging and war.
Being only lvl 30, I recently snuck into tier 4 , when the bouncer wasn’t looking, and I must say I really like it. When I’m not being pwned, 10 levels difference makes for a good dirt buffet. But give me a few heals and some balanced sides and its all fun. Anyone know how to kill a lvl 40 chosen wearing more purple items then prince in a purple rain video ? Seriously they just don’t die !
Ironically my war group and I are planning to do Gunbad on Tuesday, trying to level a new healer and get us some loot. I’m very cool with that as I’ve always wanted to do Gunbad and it looks GREAT in there. I swear my video card secretly turned up the effects as soon as I stepped inside.

Okay so I was super sick and now EVERYONE in my family has what I had. Feel bad because I thought it was food poisoning but its a flu. So I won’t be posting for a bit, especially sucks because I had a guys day out scheduled with a bunch of my friends. Its next too impossible to get us together !

its all soft and I like it
I hit my soft cap for strength today, on my slayer 775, at level 29 !! For some reason I am uber psyched for this. Now I have a cunning plan for my next 11 levels get my strength near the lvl 40 soft cap of 1000, while splitting the rest of my pts with weapon skill and wounds. I think I’ll try to get weapon skill penetration to 50% and dump what little is left into wounds. I don’t like to ignore wounds, no matter how high your strength is you can’t kill anyone while you wait for the respawn countdown. So i may not hit 50 % on Weapon skill.

Hearing lots of good stuff about the 1.3 patch and the live sands expansion, here’s my favorite highlights in no particular order.
-xtra bag space for crafting items, very needed.
-Passing on PQ bags, about time.
- “THE PURGE” of the live sands events, hunting down the other side when the zone switches, good times
the only thing I’m worried about is The planned AOE reduction, they better not Nerf my slayer or if the do, they better nerf Choppas more “)
Also some of the PQ’s seems very scriptish in there content. Jumping across multiple platforms, getting carried to the top of the mountain by giant birds, unlocking certain doors to sarcophagus in specific, order in a specififc time. I hope these PQ’s are more like the great tier 1 pq’s that everyone remembers affectionately, and not like A WoW boss encounter. Needless to say I’m really looking forward to all of it.
Fan Boy
last night my
war server was down, so my friends and I played something else. Its kinda funny because even a server crash, doesn’t piss me off. I guess I have become a penultimate fan boy, or have I? Maybe I just don’t have a love hate relationship with the game, which seems common with so many war bloggers.
So i’m wondering if the 5 people, you know who u are, that read my blog have any tips when going to tier 4. I’m poised to slowly roll on over and really looking forward to it. Especially with the new “live” expansion coming out.
Okay I’ll ask 1 specicfic question. My slayer stats=60 % strength 25 % weapponskill 15 % wounds. Is this a good set up? Oh and who’s leg do you have to hump to get a decent great axe? I can’t steal any good weapon for my slayer right now, silly auction house.
Mythic you’ve done too well
Me and my group of friends are Loving war, but it seems alot of people are leaving. I think I know why. Mythic has done too well. When all your needs are met, you start venturing into wants and nobody gets all they they want. You always want more, and mythic more than any other MMO company listens to its clients and try’s to change things for the better. This creates a vicious cycle of change, give me more, change, give me more, Nerf the hell out of it. Hell I’ve heard people complain that flight paths between warcamps don’t take LONG enough. Are you frikking kidding me, thats one of the things people first thought was awesome. So be careful what you want, it may just come true.
The key to PVP
So with the recent live event, there appears to be a lot more pvp and its fun, not zergy, for the most part. Mythic pay attention here, you have found the key for rewarding fun pvp.
-Joint objective: having both sides fight in a PQ, in the exact same place, for the same thing, should really be happening more often. I know there are some regular PQ’s that do something like this. But the “beyond the sands” event forces both sides to one spot going for the same thing. This means both sides have a chance of a reward, instead of 1 side grieving, just to grieve. Or one side running back to there end of the pq. The locations for this live event are open and deadly.
I truly believe its that simple, of course they could tweak it by adding a reward scale, like open rvr, but that’s just gravy.
So mythic please add permanent PVP pq’s, 2 per tier would be great.

On a side note my regular gaming group has just entered tier 3 and I think the token system is too expensive, IMHO they need to cut the cost in half, as well as premium siege weapons. U kidding me 300 ordanance for a siege weapon. I thought you guys were all about the carrot not the stick ! Good thing I still love you warhammer. See U tonight.

Wow where have I been ?
Actually i have been playing alot but for the dark side. Yep rolled on an order server. Been having a blast, I have 9 (?) characters. My main was a 28 Rune priest but I recently rolled a slayer and am having so much fun. A couple friends of mine have come back to war and am helping them get through Tier 1. Don’t know if I’ll switch back to my RP. I actually don’t see a a terrible mortality rate on my slayer, meaning I don’t die that often , and my kills and dps are CRAZY ! I think the secret is, to stay out of BESERK.
